Donaven Doughty

ABOUT ME

I am a self-taught photographer and filmmaker from Bridgeport, Connecticut, currently residing in Columbia, South Carolina.

My work has been featured in various publications, including the Connecticut Post, FC Beat Magazine, Little Caesars Arena, RoadTrip Nation, ETV, My French Country Home, Free Times, Just Water, and Jornalistas Livres.

My personal projects often spotlight overlooked individuals and organizations that play integral roles in their communities. My sole objective is to share their stories with their communities and the wider world. I have directed and produced three short documentary films: Farmasis, Uhuru Academy South Carolina International, and The Woman Behind The Black Cowboy Festival. Apart from filmmaking, I have also served as a Stills Photographer for the 2020 short film, Father’s Day, starring Jerrod Haynes and co-starring Michael K. Williams.

I am committed to documenting powerful, unheard stories that can amplify the impact of movements.

MY WORKS

The majority of my work includes Corporate, Commercial, Product, Food, Fashion, and Documentary campaigns. Additionally, I offer creative ideation and consulting services to clients who may be uncertain about developing their message and cohesive brand identity.
